If you’ve wondered what an orbit is, why the moon appears to change, or where in the universe we live, this class is for you! We’ll learn about this and more through fun activities and crafts.
Learn MoreIn this session, we will be focusing on 3 different holidays. There will be a very child-friendly, brief history about Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, and Easter. We will also discuss where the word "holiday" originated. We will also be reading a fun story and making an art project for each holiday mentioned. *As we are a secular co-op, when teaching art history, I remind kids that we respect all beliefs. In past art classes, we have explored other cultures, traditions, and beliefs. These holidays happen to refer to "some" Christian-based beliefs, as well as the origins of the holiday, starting in Ireland and Rome. We will also learn about some fun traditions all over the world.
